The building is steeped in history, having been originally built as a private house and maltings in the early 18th century, when Baldock was a favourite watering place on the main Great North Road from London to York. Subsequent owners included the Ind family, founders of the Ind Coope brewery company. The hotel has a spacious meeting room with a big screen. They are also able to offer internet access, photocopying and fax facilities. Tea and Coffee will be provided on arrival, for breaks and lunch. Dining facilities are available on request. Live entertainment is offered every Friday and Saturday. A children’s entertainer can be booked on request (additional cost). The open plan layout of the Zeus makes a comfortable, relaxing place to hold those special family events such as Christenings on a Sunday Afternoon. Please note: because of the live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel is unable to hold private parties on these nights. It is however available for private hire on Sunday to Thursday.
